Perry putt a rough result
GOLD Coast-based amateur Dylan Perry yesterday missed a putt from just over 2m that would have taken him on a magic ride to the British Open and the Masters.
The better signal of his make-up as a young golfer was his grace after collapsing from four-up with five holes to play to lose the British Amateur.
“I’m a bit bummed but golf is a strange game,” Perry said after the tense final at Royal St George’s in Kent where Greg Norman won his 1993 British Open.
