Teen app creep danger
CHILDREN as young as 13 are posting provocative selfies on a Tinder-style app for teens slammed as “downright dangerous and objectionable”.
Leading child psychologist Michael Carr-Gregg has warned against apps such as Spotafriend, calling them “online playgrounds” for paedophiles. “All it would take is a smooth-talking paedophile to send some silky little messages to these kids and away we go,” Mr Carr-Gregg said.
Spotafriend uses GPS to allow young people to connect with strangers nearby and “swipe” on profiles, mimicking the concept of Tinder.
