SURFING COUPLE’S ULTIMATE GROMMET

SURFING’S genetically blessed power couple have announced they are expecting a baby this year.

Gold Coast world championship tour surfer Jack Freestone, 25, and Hawaiian surfer Alana Blanchard, 27, took to social media yesterday to tell the world they are expecting a baby boy.

Blanchard, a former women’s world tour surfer with a massive social media profile, revealed a small baby bump with Freestone on Instagram. She said she was 20 weeks into her pregnancy.

“We are so excited to meet our little boy at the end of the year, still can’t believe we are on this amazing journey together,” she posted.

Freestone, in the middle of his second year as a world tour surfer, also told of his excitement.

“So much love for this woman and our little prince – we can’t wait to meet him,” the two-time junior world champion said.

In 2013, Blanchard was voted the No.1 women’s surfer at the 2013 Surfer Poll Awards. The pair have been in a relationship for more than four years.
