Coast get Broncos on a Saturday

-

THE Titans need to win seven of their final nine games this season to make the eight and will hope they are still in contention in Round 22 to help draw a bumper crowd to their home game against the Broncos on August 5.

News of the 5.30pm Saturday clash was the highlight of the final six rounds for the Titans when the draw was released by the NRL yesterday.

While the club has a fiveday turnaround between its Round 23 game against the Dragons at Jubilee Oval and Round 24 clash against the Eels at Sydney’s ANZ Stadium, chief executive Graham Annesley said the club could not complain.

“It’s the first five-day turnaround that we’ve had and it’s the only Thursday night game that we’ve had,” he said.

“We’re very happy with the outcome of our home games, Brisbane at 5.30pm on a Saturday should be huge for us, the Tigers on a Sunday afternoon will be good for us and the Bulldogs at 3pm on a Saturday we can’t complain about that either.”
