Worongary centre sold

-

GOLD Coast developer AHC has offloaded the Worongary Town Centre for $46.3 million to Sydney-based SCA Property Group.

The purchase is SCA’s second of the year on the Gold Coast following its acquisition of the Mudgeeraba Market and Franklin Square for $35.8 million in May.

The Worongary shopping centre is anchored by a 3000sq m Coles supermarket and was developed by AHC between 2004 and 2016.

Savills director Peter Tyson said SCA was drawn to the centre by the strong population growth forecast for Worongary.

SCA owns 75 shopping centres across Australia with a combined value of $2.364 billion. AHC quit the stock exchange in 2013 after a decade as a listed company.
