Zodiac, I agree. We live in Surfers near the Esplanade and the noise of some motor bikes and cars is outrageous. We can see the police station on Ferry Ave from where we live … I can’t believe police being so close don’t hear noise too. – LR

The so-called justice system could not or would not deal with Ace Hall but karma certainly did. – Robert

Queenslanders are demanding a crackdown on lunatic drivers’ texting while driving. Female drivers are worst offenders according to a survey. And women reckon they are the more intelligent sex. In your dreams, girls. As fines are not stopping phone use in cars it’s time to get serious. 1st offence mandatory 3 month loss of license, 2nd offence, 12 month loss and immediate forfeiture of vehicle. Penalty needs to hurt to get message through their heads. – Bill

Taxpayers being billed $1.5 million to replace phones & mobiles. Perhaps if they were made to pay for their own after losing first one they would be more careful with them. – Sue

Amazing how our law enforcement agencies can find $50,000 in a suitcase but can’t detect 2 dogs in a knapsack. – Barney Kiwis have another prized trophy in the cabinet, well done Emirates Team New Zealand! I often wonder how good we could really be at sport if we had a population of 25 million.

Congrats to ETNZ on America’s Cup win. True Kiwi magic. – Doug

NSW is getting billions of Fed funding thrown at them for hospitals, highways and even a new 400-bed prison. If Annastacia stopped insulting the PM she would have got a lot more funding for Qld. Can someone tell her to be more diplomatic? – Rhonda

WS, maybe the brain dead contributors enter the M1 south of Mudgeeraba where there are only two lanes which mean trucks must stay in the left lane as they’re not permitted in the right hand lane. Got it? – Poida

I will stay in the right hand lane as I need to turn right five km up the road, crazy. Queensland drivers please drive in the left lane unless you need to turn right soon. It’s all about respect for others.

For goodness sake people, get over it and regard the lanes as the left and right lanes. – PJ

Is it only me who is sick and tired of seeing people with their dog in shopping trolleys? So much for health regulations. – Grumpy

To Benowa “Botanic” Gardens complainant, if you had taken the time to have a good look around you would have seen also, leash-on and leashoff areas for dog owners. – WS What I really liked about the rugby between the ABs and the Lions was the respect each had for each other. The Lions made a corridor and clapped the ABs off the field after their loss. – Glyn

Hey Rick, this fantasy environmental research you mention. All those with solar panels are still paying too much and who do you think benefits? Yes the electricity companies. Weather does change even with us being taxed big time. – Don

Could someone in the Federal Government please tell Tony Abbott to just go away?

Was at the Tugun vs Burleigh game and thought it was a great advertisement for local league. Great game between two quality sides. Didn’t hear any “gutter language”. – Julie
