Muslim activist leaving
CONTROVERSIAL Muslim author and TV presenter Yassmin Abdel-Magied is moving to London in order to “partake in the Aussie rite of passage”.
The host of axed ABC TV show Australia Wide, who courted controversy with a Facebook post on Anzac Day, took to social media yesterday to declare she was leaving Australia for the English capital. It comes a week after an extensive series of posts in which Abdel-Magied claimed she had been “traumatised” by “deeply racist criticism” of her.
She also courted controversy when she declared on the ABC’s Q&A programme that Islam “is the most feminist religion”.
