GOLD COAST AIRPORT MARATHON DINNER The Star, Broadbeach

THE Gold Coast Airport Marathon has certainly come a long way since its inception in 1979 as an initiative of the Surfers Paradise Rotary Club. Today, thanks to a lot of hard work by many people, it is one of the premier distance running carnivals in the southern hemisphere attracting well over 27,000 participan­ts plus supporters to our city by the sea. Before the weekend of events kicked off a welcome dinner was held at The Star Gold Coast where dignitarie­s, notables and sponsors enjoy a relaxed evening.
