EXCITING plans for a new residential community near Robina show the city is continuing down a path of rapid development. With the population projected to swell significantly, governments have to ensure infrastructure is boosted now.

An accident on the M1 yesterday involving an army truck and a sedan was yet another example of how a single crash can bring our vital transport artery to a halt. The city has to grow, but that should not mean commuters suffer the pain.
