Three held after raids

GOLD Coast police arrested three men and seized drugs and weapons in raids at Bundall and Helensvale yesterday.

Detectives from the Gold Coast Firearms Squad said they found a loaded semiautomatic firearm, methamphetamines, ammunition, restricted drugs, prescription note pads and two stolen cars at 10.30am.

Three men were taken into custody. A 25-year-old Bundall man was charged with 13 drugs and weapons offences and was refused bail in the Southport Magistrates Court.

A 24-year-old Bundall man was charged with nine weapons and drug offences. He is expected to front court on July 18.

A 31-year-old Helensvale man was issued a notice to appear on various charges.
