Tate stays in hospital

IT is still not clear when Gold Coast Mayoress Ruth Tate will be well enough to return to the city after suffering a severe heart attack at Singapore Airport last month.

Gold Coast Mayor Tom Tate remains at her side in a Singapore hospital while they wait for the all clear for Mrs Tate to fly.

Cr Tate gave Mrs Tate first aid when she collapsed at the airport minutes before the pair were about to board a flight to Rome.

The pair were on a “selffunded” study tour which included a cruise through the Mediterranean to examine the cruise industry.
