No bail in maim case

ONE of the men who allegedly attacked a Gold Coast mum and partner in their Coombabah home has been remanded in custody for another week.

Thomas Ealam briefly appeared in the dock facing two counts of attempting to maim.

No bail application was made and the matter adjourned to next Tuesday.

It is alleged Ealam, 18, and Clint Hall bursted into Ingrid Brown’s home and attacked her and Michael Liddell with a machete.

Ms Brown was left with a massive cut on her check running from the corner of her mouth to her ear.

The mum said she feared she would never smile again.
