NRL stars help police

FORMER NRL stars will join with two Queensland police rugby league teams in a charity clash to raise money for the family of murdered police officer Brett Forte.

Petero Civoniceva, Brad Thorn, Scott Prince and Dane Carlaw will run out at Carina, in Brisbane’s south, for the Saturday afternoon match between the QPS Dream Team and the QPS All Stars, after which sporting memorabilia will be auctioned.

“This free event is open to the public who are encouraged to attend to help show their support,” police said, after Sen Const Forte was gunned down by Rick Maddison in May.
