Shops tackle wave of fraud

PACIFIC Fair Police Beat are continuing efforts to decrease credit card fraud by issuing businesses laminated cards to advise customers they may be asked for personal identification.

The initiative has been successful in Mackay.

Store owners may not be aware that they have the right to ask a customer for identification if they decide to use payWave.

This is a way stores can protect themselves from income loss.
