MERRETT STILL GOING STRONG

ONE of the guests at the Rollington surprise party was AFL legend Roger Merrett.

During his illustrious career he played 313 games for Essendon and the Brisbane Bears, won two premierships and captained the Brisbane Bears.

He has recovered well from a stroke in 2011. While no longer actively involved in the game, his great joy is working with the Bond University Bullsharks as an assistant to his son Ben.

One of the greats.
