Coulthard wants wins to keep up title pace

CONSERVATIVE gets you nowhere. That’s how Gold Coast ace Fabian Coulthard has promised to attack the next phase of the Supercars calendar as he plots to convert his points lead into a maiden championship.

Coulthard has powered to three wins and seven podiums to lead the title race since April. But with teammate Scott McLaughlin and six-time champion Jamie Whincup nipping at his heels, the DJR Team Penske driver declared he will not adopt an approach of accumulating points.

Rather he plans to throw everything at adding to his race win tally.

“At this point of the year it is about winning races,” Coulthard said.
