Last day for rail say

TODAY is the last day Gold Coasters can have their say on the route of the Broadbeach to Burleigh section of the light rail.

The community consultation being run by Gold Coast City Council concludes today after receiving more than 2000 responses.

A part of the consultation asks whether residents prefer a station on the Gold Coast Hwy or further back on Park Ave.

“This information will now be assessed and a report produced, which will then be presented to Council. We expect this process to take around two months – so possibly September,” a city spokeswoman said.
