Scavenger bear shot

A BEAR that broke into a Colorado home and tore through the place looking for food as the owner slept upstairs has been killed by wildlife officers.

The Colorado Springs Gazette reported the bear spent six hours trashing the kitchen. Surveillance video shows it standing on its hind legs and opening the fridge door easily.

An officer shot the bear after it left the property and then charged back toward it. Officials believe it’s the same bear that trapped a woman in her vehicle last month while it prowled around her garage.
