KIDS GET A WIGGLE ON AS AUSSIE ICONS HIT TOWN

- KRISTY MUIR

A WIGGLY good time was had by 3000 kids and parents watching The Wiggles in concert at RSL Club Southport yesterday.

The new era group, made up of Anthony Field (Blue), Simon Pryce (Red), Lachlan ‘Lachy’ Gillespie (Purple) and Emma Watkins (Yellow), took to the stage in their bright skivvies for four sold-out shows.

“I am most excited because Emma will see me,” Parker Rouse, 3, from Redland Bay said.

“I am excited to sing Fruit Salad,” Reese Reynolds, 4, of Varsity Lakes added.

At the Wiggle Around Australia tour audience members could Do the Propeller, Dial E For Emma, play Simon Says, do the Hot Potato or Rock a Bye Your Bear.

Dorothy the Dinosaur, Captain Feathersword, Wags the Dog and Henry the Octopus also took to the stage.

Oxenford mum Kristy Saunders-King, who brought her 18-month-old daughter Willow, said she had always loved the Aussie kids group.

“I think I am more excited than Willow,” she said.
