Woman attacked by angry kangaroo

A woman has been rushed to hospital with “multiple injuries” after being attacked by a kangaroo at a Coombabah home. Paramedics responded yesterday to reports a woman in her 50s had suffered scratches to her body. The woman was taken to Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition. At this stage it is unknown what happened prior to the attack.

Myer left red-faced over Perry ad

Myer bosses have been forced to remove content from their Katy Perry advert, after animal lovers branded it “disgusting”. The retail giant, which was initially “thrilled” with its commercial giving people the chance to win free tickets to the superstar’s Witness tour, was left red-faced when viewers took offence to Perry’s comment encouragin­g her pet dog Nugget to “chase some koalas”.
