Skydiver hurt

AN 83-year-old man broke his leg in a skydiving accident in the NSW Hunter Valley.

Newcastle Sport Parachute Club president Ian Robertson said conditions were perfect for yesterday’s jump near Singleton and the man was an experienced parachutist with more than 1200 jumps.

“He could have got a wind gust or something,” Mr Robertson said. “He just landed hard, it’s something that happens in our sport.”
