Corby home for birthday
SCHAPELLE Corby will today celebrate her first birthday on Australian soil since she was arrested and later jailed for smuggling marijuana into Bali in 2004.
Corby, who turns 40 today, last celebrated a birthday in Australia when she was just 27 years old. Three months later she was stopped at Denpasar airport with 4kg of cannabis in her bodyboard bag.
Corby was given a 20-year jail sentence, which was later reduced.
She was released on parole in February 2014 and deported to Australia on May 27 this year.
Since then Corby has mostly flown under the radar by avoiding the media and preferring to communicate to the outside world via social media.
An Instagram account set up in her name has 200,000 followers.
Several followers have commented on her latest pictures, wishing her a happy birthday.
