Fighter in life battle

AN MMA fighter spent his second day clinging to life yesterday after being found in a bathtub under a pile of hot towels.

Craig Booth, 26, was rushed to Gold Coast University Hospital in a critical condition on Friday afternoon.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said Mr Booth was reportedly trying to make weight for an upcoming professional fight.

He was due for a bout at the Southport Sharks AFL Club run to be put on by Eternal MMA on Saturday.
