Bad marks for parents
A LARGE majority of teachers blame parents for bad student behaviour and high numbers feel disrespected by them, a national report reveals.
The Teachers Report Card survey found four in every 10 teachers felt disregarded by parents or not highly regarded by them.
And two-thirds of respondents said classroom behaviour was mostly the responsibility of parents.
The joint report from the Australian College of Educators and Australian Scholarships Group covered the views of 380 teachers from both public and private schools.
