WE’RE NASHVILLE BY THE SEA
WORD has spread all the way to Nashville that the Gold Coast is the place to go for country music.
With the city hosting the CMC Music Awards earlier this year and gearing up for the annual Broadbeach Music Festival, Clare Bowen, the star of hit TV show Nashville, can’t wait to get amongst it.
The Australian-born singer-songwriter and actress said she put the city “at the top” of her tour dates.
“I don’t remember the last time I was on the Gold Coast,” Bowen said.
“I am so excited to be coming there. I will definitely stick my toes in the surf.”
Bowen couldn’t speak highly enough about Australia to her Nashville co-star Charles Esten before he came to the Gold Coast to present the music awards earlier this year. Esten raved about his visit on social media and to Bowen.
Bowen will headline at The Star on July 14 showcasing songs from her TV show, as well as some covers and her new music including her debut solo single Love Steps In.
The single was penned by Bowen’s fiance Brandon Robert Young and the couple’s friend Justin Halpin and is a tribute to her younger brother, Timothy James Bowen, who spent last year fighting cancer.
Timothy is now in remission and will be the supporting act at her Australian shows.
