Crowley flies after swim

-

QUEENSLANDER Sarah Crowley had “uber fun’’ as she took a host of big-name athletes by surprise to claim a four-minute plus victory at the Ironman European championship in Frankfurt.

As German Sebastian Kienle won a third Ironman European crown, Crowley became the second Australian in a row to win the women’s event after multiple world champion Mel Hauschildt’s victory a year ago.

She came from a whopping 7min 47sec deficit after the 3.8km swim.
