Another Trbojevic emerging

-

JAKE is already a NSW player and Tom is on the cusp of joining him but a third Trbojevic brother isn’t too far away from turning a State of Origin family dream into a reality.

Youngest sibling Ben will feature for the Blues’ under-16s team in the curtain-raiser to the Origin decider at Suncorp Stadium tomorrow night – and Jake says it won’t be hard to pick him out.

“He’s built and looks just like Tom. He’s taller and a bit more lanky like him. People actually mistake him for Tom quite a bit,” Jake said. “He plays in the back row and sometimes in the centres, but he’s definitely more like Tom.”

Ben’s representative call-up comes seven years after Jake pulled on the sky blue in the corresponding game on his way to becoming one of the game’s premier forwards.

After the under-16 match, Tom will join Jake in warming up for the main event before the Sea Eagles forward hopes to be part of a series victory in his first year in Origin.

The rookie has had an impressive impact in his first two games, highlighted by a line break assist that set up a try in the Blues’ Game Two loss.
