Aussie has fastest fingers

AUSSIE Feliks Zemdegs looks on pace to win the 2017 Rubik’s Cube World Championsh­ips in Paris after breaking two new world records in London.

The 21-year-old Melburnian smashed the records for the 6x6x6 and 7x7x7 cubes in 1 minute 20.37 seconds and 2 minutes 14.09 seconds, respective­ly. He also won the 3x3x3 event at the Rubik’s London Open.

The university student holds the world record for the fastest single solve of the 3x3 cube in 4.73 seconds, just ahead of the Netherland­s’ Mats Valk in 4.74.
