Choc milk school ban

-

SAN Francisco schoolchildren who learned to live without soft drinks and candy will soon have to give up chocolate milk, too.

The city’s school district will ban chocolate milk in elementary and middle schools this autumn and in high schools in the spring, the San Francisco Chronicle has reported.

The school district already bans soft drinks in schools and does not allow cookies or other sweets with lunch. A carton of chocolate milk has about 40 per cent of a child’s recommended daily sugar intake.
