GOLD Coast Suns fans will paint the town red, gold and blue this weekend as they prepare to clash with Collingwood.

In what promises to be an exciting battle between the Glitter Strip and Melbourne on Saturday, locals can get amongst it in the Suns’ colours with free face paint available at the Gold Coast Bulletin stand at Metricon Stadium pregame from 3pm.

Even little six-month Otis, son of Suns midfielder Matt Rosa, will be decked out in the colourful face paint.

“We really want to see as many Gold Coasters as possible supporting us this Saturday wearing their red, gold and blue,” Mr Rosa said.

“We want to feel the home ground advantage.”

A Gold Coast Suns spokesman said when Collingwood played there was always a sea of black and white at Metricon Stadium, but it was now time for locals to show their true colours.

One lucky fan wearing red and gold will win a signed guernsey, football and four tickets to attend the Round 19 game against Richmond.

The winner will be randomly selected at quarter time and announced at half time.

The game begins at 4.35pm on Saturday.
