Reds look to teen spirit
TEENAGE No.8 Reece Hewat has been fast-tracked towards a daunting debut in freezing Dunedin with the Queensland Reds embracing their most daring youth makeover.
With Hewat and winger-fullback Jayden Ngamanu, both 19, included on the bench, the Reds have 10 players 21 or younger in their 23-man squad for tomorrow night’s challenge.
Hewat, who spent his first 10 years in South Africa, is a product of Nudgee College and recently captained the Australian under-20 team.
