Northern forecast shines
NORTHERN Star Resources says it achieved record production in the three months to June, taking its full-year output to the top of its forecast range.
Production in the three months to June totalled 154,116 ounces, outstripping all previous quarters. It took the group’s total full-year output to 514,735 ounces – at the top of its forecast range of 485,000 to 515,000 ounces.
Executive chairman Bill Beament said operations in central Western Australia had performed strongly.
“We are now reaping the rewards of this investment, as shown by the significant increase in our 2018 financial year production guidance,” Mr Beament said. Northern Star is forecasting between 525,000 and 575,000 ounces of production this financial year.
