F1 rejig looms for London
ORGANISERS are looking at the possibility of hosting Formula One’s British GP on the streets of London.
With the Silverstone racetrack exercising a break clause in its contract to host the UK’s big race, F1 boss Chase Carey suggested bringing F1 to more city-based street races.
The idea has piqued the interest of some of the sport’s top drivers and even London’s Mayor.
“Why not?” four-time world champion Sebastian Vettel said. “We do it in other places so it’s not impossible.”
