THE Gold Coast’s northern suburbs are not just buzzing with residential construction projects – commercial investors are also seeing the region’s potential.
Confirmation today that Hong Kongbased Chinese developer Golden Horse plans to build a $60 million, 150-room, hotel resort to complement its Links Hope Island Golf Course is music to the ears of tourism bosses.
They have been calling for more fivestar accommodation throughout the city but these options are particularly sparse on the northern end of the Coast.
Top-end tourists traditionally spend more and this hotel will help to further open up an under-rated part of the city.
