Pisasale extension
THE crime and corruption watchdog has been given an extra eight weeks to prepare its case against Paul Pisasale.
The former Ipswich mayor’s lawyer, Glen Cranny, was in Brisbane Magistrates Court yesterday morning when Pisasale’s extortion and assault case was mentioned.
Prosecutors told the court the Crime and Corruption Commission needed an extra two months to provide the full brief of evidence in the case.
Magistrate Bronwyn Springer ordered the brief be prepared by September 11 with the case to be mentioned again two weeks later.
