The newest addition to The GPH’s dessert menu is apple crumble served with vanilla-bean ice cream and butterscot­ch sauce. As a share dish for two people at $16, baked fresh to order in a cast-iron pan, it is the ideal seasonal finale for any meal. The crew say it’s made from locally grown Cripps Pink apples, the perfect baker’s apple, at the peak of their season right now. These apples are sourced from Stanthorpe as the area’s cool climate is particular­ly suited to the crop.
