All the reports about research done on the gay marriage stating 65% want it are baffling. Not one person I work or socialise with have been asked, so where do these stats come from? – Lance

Total of four submissions opposing gay marriage. Keep the numbers up. The do gooders will take the hint eventually and make Australia unique and call it happy united! Anything but marriage, thanks. Just a thought.

No wonder Qld people are sick of this Labor mob. Annastacia still keeps saying “what crime?” when informed about the out of control bikie crime. Bring on the election so the LNP can give them the boot again. – Angry Taxpayer

Brad Fittler as Blues coach – they won’t be able to understand him . – Rocket

Qld logic made my day. Dig channel out and the water will drop. I’m sure the incoming tide won’t fill it up again. At least I don’t feel so bad about being from NSW now.

As an engineer, the Broadwater is too sandy and too short for a tunnel. The problem area is the set of lights at the base of the Sundale Bridge. A fly over is a better, cheaper option. – Marco Polo The ACCC will look at the high price of electricity. Good luck with that. They haven’t done any good with the petrol prices just watched it going up up, up. – Sue Currumbin

Great to see the Aussie men’s Hockey team once again beat the Kiwis.

GCB reports kids at risk of dog bites with 50 bites in Oz each week and kids the most vulnerable. Law needs to be changed to put the bite on the owners with big fines. – Rhonda

Scientists have revealed the sun could be in for a super chill period and scientists aren’t sure of the consequences. I suggest using same computer that predicted the temperature increases by 2050. It’s gotta be correct, right? – GT As a local, missed out on one ticket to the GC18 road race. Notice travel agent selling packages, accommodation with games tickets to major events. How did they get those tickets? – Chris

I sure hope that bloke was joking when he asked how you would fit those big yachts in the tunnel?! – Woodleigh

I hope ex-senator Scott Ludlam repays all his salary that he was wrongfully paid. Somehow he forgot he was born in New Zealand.

Re Qld logic. Yes! And how about the inaugural great GLink tram race to be held on the GC 600 weekend.

I hope someone from GCCC was at the Titans game on Saturday and saw the joy on the faces of the mini league players splashing around at half time. Think of them next time you close local grounds because of a bit of drizzle. – Coaster

Now we have an example of a cigarette thrower being fined why don’t police charge those who light up when they walk out courthouse door?

Re unpaid super by employers ( GCB, 18/7). You need to phone the ATO and lodge a complaint not your super fund.

Re super payments. Start your complaint through Fair Work Australia. Everyone should regularly check their super is going into account.

Parking fine for attending markets on Sunday something to do with a yellow line? No signs anywhere. – Tourist
