Delta hits another bump in the road
DELTA Goodrem is suffering a run of bad “car-ma”.
The Aussie singer and V8 Supercars ambassador recently lost her licence for speeding offences and now the Advertising Standards Board has upheld a complaint about her new Apple Music ad.
It was reported the ad drew complaints, alleging it breached community standards for health and safety as she appeared to not be wearing a visible seatbelt.
“As a role model for young people, this is setting a terrible example to young drivers ...” the complainant said.
The Advertising Standards Board says Delta “dancing and moving around” with no visible safety belt would imply to younger viewers that a “relaxed attitude to safety in a moving motor vehicle is acceptable”. Apple has since modified the ad featuring Delta and a driver enjoying tunes on a road trip.
