Astro sniffs out drugs

THE Tweed/Byron police anti-theft group held a drug dog operation in Byron Bay last week.

Astro the dog sniffed out a male in a group at Railway Park, Jonson Street.

Police allegedly found 16 grams of cannabis on the 54-year-old man.

The man will appear in the Byron Bay Local Court on August 10.
