Manly welcomes audit

MANLY chairman Scott Penn has welcomed the NRL’s investigation into alleged salary cap breaches at the club, declaring: “You can go through everything”.

The NRL stepped up its search yesterday, with a team of investigators from the Integrity Unit visiting the club’s Narrabeen headquarters.

Penn confirmed Sea Eagles officials requested the league complete the matter as quickly as possible, as they strongly deny any wrongdoing.

He expects the NRL’s investigation to last a number of weeks. He said the club would follow protocol as part of the process, including divulging details on the club’s records.
