Coast ninjas’ semi-final showdown
AUSTRALIAN Ninja Warrior semi-finalist Jack Wilson didn’t watch TV until the smash-hit new series premiered three weeks ago.
The Mermaid Beach carpenter has been glued to his screen making sure he doesn’t miss a second of the physical challenge series that’s become ratings gold for Channel 9.
“I must say, it’s my favourite show to date. I’ve never been a person to watch TV in my life. I don’t watch TV and now I do because of the show,” he says.
The first ninja to make it up the Warped Wall in the show’s first heat, Wilson is one of 30 competitors out to swing, jump, hang and climb their way into the grand final when the third and last semi-final screens tonight at 7.30pm.
The top seven advance to tomorrow night’s grand final.
Wilson’s semi-final also features Southport twins and parkour specialists Dylan and Brodie Pawson, aka ‘The Awesome Pawsons”; Burleigh lifesaver and professional jet skier Ryan Solomon; dreadlocked Coast stuntman Daniel “Tarzaniel’ Weston; and laid-back Lismore truckie Tom Hazell.
