HEALTH Minister Cameron Dick’s move to issue more parking permits at a dozen hospitals is welcome relief for thousands of families.

For far too long, fat cat companies have preyed on the vulnerable by fleecing motorists to park while visiting sick family and friends. In most instances, drivers have no other choice but to use the car parks.

Mr Dick’s announcement has put those greedy firms on notice. It is now important to ensure parking fees are not increased further and that the right people get those permits.
