Suspicion led to alleged torture

A Brisbane man accused of torturing his girlfriend for a week by “pouring methylated spirits” on her and setting her alight, then stabbing her in the head with a screwdriver, believed she had cheated on him while he was in jail. Associates of Nicholas Crilley allegedly told police Crilley had kept Tanya Nicole Roberts, 21, “prisoner for days and had tortured her as he suspected the victim of sleeping with other men while he was in jail”.
