Suspension for Lloyd
PREMIER jockey Jeff Lloyd has been suspended for causing interference at Doomben.
The Gold Coast-based Lloyd pleaded guilty to causing interference aboard Powerful Saga in the Carlton Draught Class 6 race on Saturday.
Stewards alleged Lloyd caused interference to eventual winner Khalama at the 250m mark.
He was suspended for eight days to start next Saturday night and ending on August 7.
Lloyd will easily win his second Brisbane jockeys premiership with a record 134 winners to date.
