Palmer served with suit

-

CLIVE Palmer has at last been served with a multimillion-dollar lawsuit over the collapse of Queensland Nickel.

Last Friday, governmentappointed liquidators PPB Advisory alleged he refused to be served at his CBD office with paperwork for the litigation, which aims to claw back more than $200 million in debts and compensation for alleged insolvent trading and breaching directors’ duties.

But Mr Palmer was served yesterday as he was leaving the carpark of his Brisbane business office

“Mr Palmer has finally been served following a number of unsuccessful attempts,” liquidator Stephen Parbery said.

Mr Palmer and his missing nephew Clive Mensink are being sued for almost half a billion dollars for allegedly breaching their duties as company directors.
