Ex bikie gums clean on no show
ACCUSED former bikie Christopher Bloomfield landed back in the watchhouse after failing to report to police and his reason for the no-show was novel.
Bloomfield’s lawyer Adam Guest told Southport Magistrates Court yesterday his client failed to report as per his bail conditions on Friday because he’d swallowed his dentures.
He had been having intestinal issues last week since the incident and was released from hospital at 11am on Friday.
The former Titans under 20s rugby league player was also facing a fraud charge for a 2013 incident and failing to appear in court last month.
Mr Guest said Bloomfield had missed court last month because he had changed lawyers and was not aware of the court date.
Bloomfield was fined $500 for failing to appear in court and convicted but not punished for missing his reporting date with police. The fraud charges were adjourned to September 5 and bail was granted.
