GCCC health department’s “eat safe” program is a farce. I am a cafe owner of 23 years and I have never been inspected by appointment, until this year. The program is doomed to providing false ratings. Diners beware. Giving food outlets 1 to 3 weeks warning of inspections is not the way to determine how hygienic a food shop is run. Poor operators simply clean up their act for the inspection, then return to their dirty habits. – Cafe owner
