BOOT SCOOT

-

HUNDREDS of Gold Coasters are expected to kick up their heels at the Broadbeach Country Music Festival Family Boot Scoot.

The kid-friendly event, which will be held this Saturday at Pacific Fair, will feature live music, face painting, live animals and kids’ entertainment.

Marketing manager Kate Dixon said there would be something for everyone on the day.

“We have activities for the young and the young at heart. The littlies will love meeting Shaun the Sheep, dancing away and having their face painted with their favourite farm animal,” she said.

“The older kids can have a go at the giant Jenga or ring toss and even try the classic game, Pin the Tail on the Donkey, or hold a live baby croc at our Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary exhibit.

“For the adults we have live country music performances from the Bushland Boogie Trio where you can groove to their traditional Australiana songs, as well as Oz country and classic Oz rock songs.”

Coast kids Mac Hoskinson, 4, Tom Crain 4, Tilly Hoskinson, 2, and Will Parry, 3, said they were looking forward to the festival’s boot scoot.

Festivities kick off on July 29 at 10.30am, with a jam-packed program running all day.
