Rose’s sweet new contract
FREE agent Derrick Rose and the Cleveland Cavaliers have reached an agreement on a one-year NBA deal.
The contract will be for the veteran minimum salary of $2.64 million, with guard Rose expected to sign today.
Rose, 28, met with new general manager Koby Altman and other officials yesterday, three days after meeting with the Los Angeles Lakers.
Rose, the 2011 NBA MVP, believes a move from the Knicks to the Cavaliers gives him the opportunity to reach the NBA Finals next season.
