Teen drone pilot charge
A TEENAGER has been charged after flying a drone around a northern Queensland V8 Supercars event, forcing helicopter flights to be stopped.
The drone hovered over the helicopter operations area at the Townsville 400 V8 event on July 8.
A 17-year-old has been charged with aircraft operating in airspace above a major event and will face Townsville Magistrates Court on August 10.
